A Piece of Heaven is a lovely 3BR/3BA home located within the gated Cottage Retreat community only 525 feet from private beach access on Miramar Beach. From the minute you enter through the front door, you will be greeted by a spacious open floor plan boasting walls of windows that offer an abundance of natural light. The first floor consists of a cozy living room, a large dining area, and a gorgeous kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Also on the first floor, there is a guest bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Up the stairs to the second level, you will find the master suite, highlighted by balcony access, and a fabulous master bathroom complete with a jetted, soaking tub and separate shower. There is an additional guest bedroom this level with a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed. This room also has an ensuite bath! Take a short stroll to the gated beach access or splash around in the community pool. Whatever you decide, you will be sure you've found A Piece of Heaven.
Cottage Retreat is a gated community within the beautiful Miramar Beach area. The neighborhood has gated beach access just across Scenic Hwy 98. Amenities include a seasonally heated community pool, hot tub, fitness center, and grilling area! Cottage Retreat shares amenities with Beach Retreat condos nearby. This idyllic location is a short distance from several beach front restaurants and only a few miles from Destin Commons and Silver Sands! This beautiful location and wonderful amenities inspire families to frequently return to Cottage Retreat every year!

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants.
All the excitement of Destin is just minutes away: choice of watersports, golf, amusement parks, and outlet shopping. One glimpse of Destin beaches and you're hooked. It must be the wide, white beaches and the famous emerald waters. Not to mention the fabulous fishing, the world's most beautiful beaches, addictive seafood and the full array of activities for kids of all ages and more fun to be found in Destin.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

My family and I had a great time here. The house was clean, quiet, had plenty of room, and is in a great location in Miramar Beach. The private beach was right across the street. The pool was very nice with the added benefit of having a hot tub. We had a couple of minor issues crop up during our stay and the hosts were very responsive and took care of things right away. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in Miramar Beach.- Posted: 8/24/2024

Perfect house for the beach

Great unit, excellent location and well with the money. Our family had a fantastic time and we would recommend this home highly. In terms of improvements, the floor mats at entrance and washrooms can be changed, could have some more baking pans and Pyrex dish-ware (we actually purchased and left at villa) and the downstairs bathroom had some ants one night. Overall a fantastic vacation spot that we would definitely book again if heading back to Miramar Beach.- Posted: 8/6/2023

Great place!
The house was the perfect size for all 9 of us. Plenty of sleeping space and dining space. Every room has a bathroom and door going to the porch/balcony. Very comfortable
When we arrived, there was very soft, relaxing music playing on all televisions which was a very nice touch. Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and a 7 month old. Great, quiet neighborhood. It is a very short walk to the beach with beach access right across the road. Pool was smaller than it looked in the pictures but was not crowded when we were there. The place really nice very clean and realjoy was really easy to deal with. If we had a problem I called them directly and told them that there was a couple things going on and they came out really quick. But just to give you a head this place is local in a hoa and they only allow 2 vehicles to park in front of the house and they will charge you extra money to use on of there other parking spots it is like $10.00 a day. But on the listing doesn't tell you that. So just a heads up also don't go through airbnb go through RealJoy it is a lot cheaper to. But overall we had a great time and the beach was nice and the restaurant we went people was great and friendly. I also recommend going to Kenny's D for drinks and food.- Posted: 4/14/2023

The pool was nice and heated and the beach access was a quick walk. The kitchen had plenty of dishes/cookware but plan to bring salt/pepper, cooking oil, your own coffee, etc.

Nice house and great location
This house was great for our family vacation. We all loved it. This house was really nice, clean, with more than enough towels needed, and I loved that everything was close by. The property manager always responded quickly with whatever questions I had. Loved it!- Posted: 8/19/2022

Great location. Proximity to the beach was fantastic. Plenty of beach toys were available for guest. If renting a golf cart be sure to reserve an extra parking space ahead of time. We weren't told that there wouldn't be extra parking available and received a big orange sticker on the windshield as a warning. Had to wait 24 hours to receive the extra paid parking space. Gated area for home is very quiet, everyone is very friendly.- Posted: 6/4/2022

We had a great week staying at a little piece of heaven ! Location was 10/10 right across from the beach. Included private beach access but do be aware that you still have to pay for chairs and umbrella ( $40 for 2) Was nice to use the community pool just a few steps away as well ! House was beautiful along with the other cottages nearby. We had great neighbors our entire stay. I will say that the house wasn’t as clean as I expected. Some big staining on carpets and towels provided. Disappointed that basic necessities weren’t provided such as Salt and Pepper , extra toilet paper and paper towels.- Posted: 4/16/2022

Wonderful break
We had a great week. The house was perfect for our group. The location was nice and beach access was a short walk. Plus the beach was private and not nearly as crowded as other beach areas. The rental company responded quickly to any of questions before and during our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.- Posted: 3/24/2022
