All the excitement of Destin is just minutes away: choice of watersports, golf, amusement parks, and outlet shopping, one glimpse of Destin beaches and you're hooked. It must be the wide, sun-bleached beaches and the famous emerald waters. Not to mention the fabulous fishing, the world's most beautiful beaches, addictive seafood and the full array of activities for kids of all ages and more fun to be found in Destin.
Here you will find wind surfing, snorkeling, water-skiing and parasailing offered all along the Gulf shores. Nearby attractions include a fascinating aquarium, Naval history museums, a fishing museum, and a zoo featuring Colossus the giant gorilla and rare white Bengal tigers. Of course, you'll want to savor the unique and delicious flavors of the freshest seafood available at any of Destin's more then 100 eateries! Restaurants here range from casual oyster bars to elegant bistros serving culinary delights guaranteed to please your palate.
Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

FANTASTIC. I stayed with my husband and my three-year-old. It was perfect. I recommend it.
First, the apartment is clean and comfortable. Across the street is a swimming pool. It has a cozy patio. It has everything you will need. The beds are good too. Then, from the reviews, I thought we would be needing extra toilet paper, paper towels, pods, trash bags... We stayed six days and we never had to use any of the stuff we brought with us.
Moreover, the location is amazing. There is a restaurant around the corner, Camille. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is so delicious and convenient! You can stay there or just take out. The beach is right across the street. If you walk some blocks, there are a lot of stores and the shopping center, Destin Commons. We only had to use our car one time for some groceries. Then we walked everywhere. It was great.
We have been to Destin several times, and this is (quality + location + price) the best place we have stayed so far.- Posted: 4/20/2024

Caribbean Dunes 120
We had an amazing time! The condo was newly renovated and very clean. I stayed four nights with my three children. I wish we could have stayed longer. The ground floor was wonderful with the patio. We only had to walk across the road to the pool and across the street to the beach! Everything was very close and convenient: stores, restaurants, drug store, gas station. The condo was very nice and the location perfect! Easy to the beach and to shopping! Concerning the condo itself, what we didn’t like it was the bed! Like sleeping on rocks and the sheets didn’t fit! Stay and location were wonderful. Be prepared to bring your own beach towels, coffee/filters, spices/salt/pepper, laundry detergent, dish washer tabs (only 2 provided), extra blankets, etc. No extra fluff on-site, but we didn’t ask or complain as Walmart is right down the road and honestly I didn’t even look to see if any of that was mentioned in the listing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place it was very close to the beach and the pool was across from this place. The weather was not in our favor so we were only able to enjoy a day of swim in the pool but it was well worth it. The place is very well maintained clean and has working appliances, the only drawback we faced was cleaning supplies. We like to clean ourselves and surroundings especially when we have kids but we couldn’t find anything to clean the tables or counters. It would be nice if they provide cleaning supplies along with basic kitchen stuff like salt pepper. Overall we really liked this place and would love to visit again.- Posted: 3/19/2023

Great Proximity to Beach / Perfect for Small Families

My wife and I spent the week for our third anniversary. We were blown away by how nice/clean the place was, and the overall location was great too! Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. PROS
- 5 minutes walking to the beach
- Crystal beach is indeed crystal
- swimming pool is clean and just across the street
- bath towels and bed sheets seem new
- mattresses are firm and confortable
- pillows are clean
- kitchen seems to have been recently remodeled
- bathroom also seems to have been remodeled
- convenient washer and dryer
- 2 minutes to Camille’s cafe
- wifi worked perfectly
- kitchen is well stocked with lots of plates and silverware.
CONS (probably owner can’t do much about it…)
- AC can be noisy for a light sleeper who sleeps on the bunk beds in the hallway to the living room
SUGGESTIONS TO OWNER and PROSPECTIVE RENTERS
- The check-in through RealJoy website/portal did not work. You are supposed to enter the reservation number (hard to find it…) and your email. Tried multiple times and ended up calling RealJoy. After waiting 10 minutes on the phone, I got the instructions.
- The padlock on the balcony was not working.
- Both TVs (living and bedroom) were not smart so I could not watch netflix, Hulu, etc. Consider replacing TVs with the smart type or purchasing a firestick.
- Storage area is limited. For those sleeping in the bunk beds, there is no closet. Plenty of space in the bedroom though.
- Could provide some basic cleaning products for renter to clean bathroom, kitchen and to mop the floor. This is not expensive but it would be convenient to have it handy. Some people (like me) are obsessive with cleaning and I could have kept the apartment cleaner if cleaning products had been provided.
- ensure floor is mopped prior to every rental. When we arrived, I had to sweep the floor (pretty dirty) but I did not mop. After walking few steps barefoot, my feet’s soles were black. Bathroom was not clean. Bathtub needs a good clorox cleaning so one can use it
- They have 4 beach chairs but no beach umbrella. During summer, it’s impossible to enjoy beach without umbrellas. Owner can provide one or renter needs to bring it.
- There is no recyling. There is only one dumpster for trash.
SUMMARY: I loved the stay and will most likely book the same unit for years to come! (Just need a better cleaning crew).

We so much enjoyed our stay at real joy properties. We will come back we will be back if we had to come to Destin again. We wish there would have been more toiletries provided, like toilet paper and paper towels. Make sure to bring your own! But overall it was a great experience. We had a two minute walk to the beach! A beach blessing!
The condo was perfectly located within a hop , skip and a jump from the beach..... The owners have provided additional beach items ( Chairs, sand toys and games) Kitchen is well equipped for those who like to cook like myself!! Beds were very comfy and the decor was simply perfect. My experience was very good. My place’s location was perfect in regards to the shops, restaurants, and attractions we saw. The unit was very clean, nicely decorated with all the amenities. The area where the unit was located felt safe and friendly. Which is a huge plus in our book! I hope to return to Destin. I would definitely look for RealJoy properties! Thanks again for everything. This place was amazing! It was our first time to the beach anywhere and this place was perfect! We had a 4 yr old and a 10yr old with two adults it was perfect space and a quick walk to the beach. I was nervous at first because i didnt want anywhere to far from the beach but this was a perfect spot. It was a maybe 2 to 3 min walk maybe and the beach access was nice and not to crowded with public bathroom and washoff stations which was nice. The pool and hot tub was across the street. It was never crowded. The condo was very clean on arrival. And they provided dishes, cups, utensils. Just dont forget to bring extra trashbags and toliet paper. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay again. It was on ground floor so nonclimbing steps or anything like that which was great! Would stay again
We stayed at this unit years ago before the current manager took over. We decided to come back to this unit. The location is perfect and nicely updated. For fellow coffee drinkers, no coffee pot, onky a keurig. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit. Within an hour of arriving all 5 of my family members feet were black from the floor not being cleaned properly. I tried to do an online request and after typing everything up it wouldn't submit it. The back door code box wasn't working but they came out the next morning and replaced the batteries. Overall we were satisfied and would stay again.- Posted: 8/14/2020

Great location
Loved our Trip to Destin! The beach was less than a five minute walk.The only thing we didn’t like where the huge sections of private beach that no one could occupy… All the public beach vacationers were jammed into one spot on the beach. Quiet little getaway
Easy parking, friendly staff, close to everything... I thought there would be a better view (ocean) but it’s literally just around the corner and you can hear the waves. Our family loved the location of this condo. We visited with three kids, 10 and under, and the bunk beds were so cool! It felt so much bigger and more private than a one bedroom.
