Destiny Beach Villas #15A

I didn’t have any problems that needed resolving. I have stayed in several different rentals at Destiny Beach Villas the past 2 years because I love the location. I find it very peaceful to be on the lake and just across from the ocean. The villa was very clean and nicely updated. I would have liked a few more extras provided like some beach gear, maybe some games for a rainy day, and a bit more supplies like more dishwasher pods and trash bags (depending on the number of days you stay). I fly in so all the little extras have to be purchased and even in the smallest quantity, I still have extras to throw out or leave behind. But the instructions I received before my arrival clearly stated what was provided so this was not a surprise. I just always appreciate a rental that does provide a little bit more. I will definitely consider coming back! Thank you for the use of your Villa!

We stayed in 15A, the upper level of the villa. It was really pretty, decorated in white and blue. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and updated and everything worked well. We didn’t use the second bedroom, and it was very tiny. It would have worked if you had small kids, but I wouldn’t have wanted to put another adult in there as it was accessed through the primary bedroom.The pool was lovely and heated to a comfortable temperature, and the gorgeous beach was a short walk away.We enjoyed watching the turtles, fish, ospreys, ducks and egret on the lake at the back.Great stay! The place was exactly as described in the pictures, great location, just a 5-minute walk to the beach. It was very peaceful, and the host reached out to check if we needed anything. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils. Overall, a great rental!

Great place to stay! We had a great time. Not ocean front but you still have a small ocean view window. We will definitely stay again just hoping early check in is available for next time because as parents traveling with toddlers and a baby from far is a little hard to distract them until 4pm. Other then that we loved everything

Beautiful place and view of the pond outback, great size for a family of 4 or less. Close to the beach, great parking availability, pool was nice for the kids. I wish it had a place to rinse off stuff you brought back from the beach other than a water hose by another condo. Stairs are extremely steep, not the safest for little children, but they do have a baby gate. If you have loud neighbors downstairs you can hear them. Despite a few negative things, I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I brought our 2-year-old daughter with us from Texas for our first family vacation, and we had an amazing time! The rental was incredibly clean, the grounds were quiet, and the lake view was GORGEOUS. We really enjoyed waking up each morning to watch the turtles and fish swim from the deck and having such a short walk to the beach! We would gladly rent here again in the future. We really enjoyed our week long stay at this property! The location was perfectly positioned in front of the pool and right across from the beach. With our 2 kids, proximity is everything! The property was adequately stocked but bring coffee filters ;) Check in was be try smooth and the rental company was super quick with their responses as well. We were very pleased all around!

We love these villas for many reasons. The best of which is its location on Scenic Highway 98. It’s walking distance to the beach and restaurants with several within a mile walking distance is perfect. This villa is perfect for a couple or a young family.

My husband and I stayed this past weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we absolutely loved it! The only thing that I really didn’t like was that everything was upstairs, I guess I was confused about that when reading about it. I have arthritis and so going up and down the stairs was sometimes hard for me. It was newly remodeled, very clean and centrally located to everything we’d plan on doing. The water views from the deck were great, the beach was right across the street and we had a view of it from the front balcony outside of our bedroom! We’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend it!!

My 3 kids and I stayed in the unit over the Christmas weekend and absolutely loved it! It was very spacious and had beautiful views! It was a little cold over the weekend but the heat works great and kept us nice and warm! It was far at all from all the restaurants and shopping centers! I absolutely loved my stay, definitely plan on rebooking for the spring/summer!

The property was five minutes walk from the beach and as advertised. I read some reviews mentioned the cleanliness but the place was very clean when I arrived. It was overall very quiet but nobody was staying below me, so I’m not sure what the noise level would be if that was occupied. Overall I loved my stay!

This was a great condo- very clean! We had a bad experience with the original condo (not this one)- the owner decided at the last minute to up the already agreed upon rate, and we were left looking for a different unit. Thankfully we found this unit, and actually paid less for it than the original one! Very seamless check in process- and close to activities and restaurants. The water was crystal clear on this trip, we usually stay on Okaloosa Island, so a very similar beach. We had a great time!

My daughter & I had a wonderful time. We very much liked this property. The location was perfect for the beach! We enjoyed eating breakfast on the front deck which looked out to the Gulf. The only negative was that the pool was under construction. This was not communicated to us. The pool code for the adjoining pool that was given to us twice didn't work.

Property (15A) was neat..but not entirely clean. Rodent droppings on bed, carpet, bathroom and kitchen floor, carpet steps leading up to property. Dust and cobwebs on ceiling corners leading up stairs. Thick dust on bedroom TV ledge holding cable box. But worst of all..a foul garbage smell at base of stairwell as if coming from downstairs property. I did mention this to a staff member on day of departure. Mentioning all this so you know the caliber of cleaning by your staff and a walk through needs to happen before guests arrive.

I liked the proximity to the beach. I wish the balcony was larger. The sheet seemed too small for the bed, and kept coming off. Additionally, the bunk beds are part of the master bedroom. I’m not sure I understood that when I booked. All in all, I thought it was a adequate property at a fair price. I appreciate that they offered basic kitchen supplies.

The location is amazing!!! I grew up coming to Florida every summer. This is by far the nicest area. The condo was cute and perfect for our family. The lake was beautiful and the walk to the beach was super short. We can’t wait to come back.

Great location and a great view! This place is extremely close to the beach and quite a few great places to eat. If you have a bike, you could easily find yourself not using a car at all. Its very clean and comes stocked with everything you'll need to keep it clean.
You do need to bring your own TP since they only provide 2-3 rolls. It would also be a good idea to bring a ziploc of laundry detergent and a few trash bags if you think about grabbing some - they are also in short supply. We only ran out of TP but I could see how you could run out of some of the other supplies if you stay for longer than a couple days.
If you debating staying here vs somewhere else that similarly priced, stay here. Trust me.

Great location to the beach-this villa was right in front of the tunnel under the road to get to the beach. The management was extremely responsive to a few minor issues we had. The bunk bed area is basically like a closet attached to the master, but worked fine for our toddler. It would have been a bit cramped with more than 3 of us but was perfect for a short beach trip. Very close to many restaurants and attractions (less than 10 miles).

We loved our stay here! We had easy, clear communication from RealJoy prior to check in and had no issues getting into the place. The main aspects we loved about this place were the views from both front and back porches and how easy it was to get to the beach. The pool was also close to the place and wasn't crowded when we were there. We would definitely stay here again!

Super cute place to stay near the beach. Great view of pond from condo, was so enjoyable to wake up and sit outside with coffee (ps. Bring your own coffee filters). The bunk room is essentially the master bedroom closet that they put bunks in...no curtain or door so it is OPEN to main bedroom. Would be great for parents and 2 kids to stay here. The fold out couch is not comfortable for sleeping unless you bring a mattress pad or a ton of extra blankets! But overall We enjoyed it would definitely stay here again!

This property is very clean and has easy access to beach and restaurants. The lake with hundreds of turtles and fish was super fun to watch daily and feed them! The pool is really close to this unit and very clean. Our kids had an absolute blast. Highly recommend this spot over the more expensive spots. Great parking and very safe and quiet environment.

This place is fantastic!!! Great location, literally only a mere 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a sidewalk that goes under the road to the beach so no issues getting there. The view from the back porch is stunning. It is a peaceful area, great if you are an outdoor active person for renting bikes or going for a jog. The place had everything you need for cooking, even a blender for fun drinks. I would recommend bringing a roll of paper towels, trash bag and dish soap if you plan on staying more than a couple of days. We were unable to locate additional supplies. I rate this place 10/10. I will say, RealJoy was tough to work with as a company when asking questions so be aware of this. But I would stay at this place any day and will not fault the place itself for the lack of communication. Also, be sure to request the wifi info. It was not provided to us on the check in. The wifi info listed on the fridge of the place is inaccurate. But all in all, I will come back to this place for sure.
