Very easy check in! Very clean and provided plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, and pillows and blankets! Also provided extra fans for each room! Very private area!

Our stay was lovely. We had one tiny issue (that wouldn’t have affected our stay at all but wanted to let management know as it could have been a safety issue in the future) and they were so prompt and fixed it immediately and did it while we were out (with our permission of course) and we didn’t even know they had been there. Then the most amazing part was the follow ups and the checking to see that we were doing ok and if we needed anything. Fabulous job in fact I said to my husband. If we buy a rental property this is the company I would want managing it! Really great work

Check in was super easy and it was a nice surprise to see a place that was as good or better than the photos. Lots of room and great amenities. The pool was not heated so we didn't use it (it was December). We did pay to use the golf cart and that was nice to just zip to the beach or around a little. We called maintenance once for a teeny tiny issue that wasn't urgent and they were on it so fast and so professional and followed up to make sure we were happy etc. I was so surprised. They also are great with texting so if you have any questions. you can just text and you will have an answer in like 5 minutes. All the beds were big and comfortable and the linens were good quality. The beach is super close (walkable) and there is a cafe at the end of the street (and a Dairy Queen \which was pleasing for the kiddos). The kitchen had all the utensils and small appliances. you would need (the only thing that might be helpful would be some form of tupperware type containers but thats only if you need to store something while you are there. You can tell the crew that maintains the building is on top of things. Greenest grass on the cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay close to the beach. Nicely decorated, comfortable, and within walking distance to the beach and restaurants.
There is no private access to the beach thought, you have to walk a little further to the public beach access.
Overall we had a great time there.

We had a great stay at Penelope Palms! It was in a great location and walkable to the beach and restaurants. We were traveling with 2 families and it is a nice set up for privacy and plenty of room! We did have an issue with the garage door, but someone came and checked it out right away. The beach chairs were a little worn, but it was still nice to have them. The golf cart was well worth the up charge. We got great use out of the brand new grill. It was so nice to have the patio and a fenced yard. Overall clean and a great value.

How spacious the house was and how nicely decorated it was. A/C worked great and we all slept comfortably on the beds. The backyard and seating outside were nice to hang out at. The dryer took forever to dry clothes when we would wash our swim clothes. Might need to be looked at.

We really enjoyed our stay in Destin at this house. Everyone slept comfortably and we loved how clean and nicely decorated it was. It was really close to the public beach access so we didn’t have to drive or walk far. Highly recommend booking with RealJoy they were very responsive when had any questions via text. Couple days prior to arriving Real Joy reached out giving us a heads up the golf cart would be ready.
We arrived and there was no golf cart ready, spent 2hrs on the phone back and forth trying to figure out why golf cart was not present. Only to receive an email a little later stating there was no golf cart available. Then we spent another hr looking for a 3rd party golf cart. Which ended up being 3x more the price than we expected to pay in the first place.

The only problem we had was one of the chairs in the living room was broken and you sunk all the way down when you sat in it, other than that the place was beautiful and very well laid out! We would stay here again!

The property was perfect for our extended family. Plenty of cookware, dishes, and entertainment opportunities both at the property and in the community. The only issue was the heating element in the dryer did not work so clothes did not dry in the dryer.

We recently stayed at Penelope Palms for baseball tournaments with two other families. The house was the perfect size for us all to have our own space yet enjoy a home life versus hotel life. With it being at the end of the Cul de sac, the kids were able to enjoy playing outside in the yard and neighborhood without worrying about cars. The beach was a good walking distance or golf cart ride away. We were able to enjoy the vacation scene and be 15min away from the ball field. The house had everything we needed and the owners were quick to reply if we had any questions. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

This property was a great place to make memories with my family. The house was in great shape. We had a problem with the gas grill, we called and they brought out a brand new one the next morning! They were prompt on any questions or concerns. The beach was beautiful for all ages. The neighborhood was quite which made sitting in the back yard relaxing great. I will definitely use this property again.

Nice place. Lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc. (even a pod coffee maker). We brought the other essentials (more toilet paper, soap, dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc.). Management was quick to respond when we needed them. Golf cart was a great add on, we used it everyday. Lots of beach chairs and some toys for the kids. Beach wagon was nice to have. Walking to and from the beach was not bad (some of our family chose to do it). Would rent this house again.

Absolutely perfect. We loved the location, the house, the golf cart, and most of all the responsiveness of the owners/managers. We communicated prior to our arrival to ensure the corn hole birds were available for use and they said he’s. However they were not there when we arrived. I messaged the managers just to ensure they knew and we weren’t liable. The managers brought us brand new boards! It was amazing and very thoughtful! The house is GORGEOUS and very spacious! Perfect for 3 families including kids. We can’t wait to book again in the future.

Perfect Place! This place is a beautiful 4 bedroom Home that is located right next to the beach, it's a 2 Min drive on the golf cart, and 5 Minute walk. We stayed here for 6 Days and it was perfectly located to all the local shops that are accessible by Golf Cart or walking. Highway 98 is right behind it so you can go shopping at all the outlets and malls and food places. There is a ton of extra curricular stuff all around, boat rentals at Crab Island, Arcades, Racetracks and anything you can think of it's available in this area. The decor is the place was wonderful and gave that nice ocean vibe. Back porch sitting area has a nice little fireplace that came in very handy as it was in the 60's when we stayed. This place came with everything. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Incredible place to stay! The house was beautiful! All we had hoped for and more! The golf cart made the trip to the beach very easy. It would be hard to walk that far carrying all your beach things. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat!

I never received my access code after multiple calls I still wasn’t able to contact anyone. By this time I am extremely upset because we arrived at the property and me and my family had to wait some hours before we finally connected to real joy and we was granted access. The property was gorgeous and very clean which made up for the communication issues.
