This spacious and stunning 3-level beach home features both modern amenities and architectural character and is located in the fantastic beach community of Terra Cotta Terrace. Sweet Retreat features a spacious open floor plan with soaring 12ft ceilings, a large flat-screen TV, and a cozy fireplace in the living room. The fully equipped kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. On the first floor, you will find a queen guest bedroom featuring direct access to the large outdoor patio. Climb the stairs to the 2nd floor to find a king master suite with an ensuite bathroom. Also on the second floor, there is a queen guest bedroom with a private balcony and ensuite bathroom. Lastly, on the third floor, there is a bunkroom with two twin bunk beds, perfect for the kids or the young at heart! Take a short stroll to the community pool or the gated beach access less than 600 yards away.

Terra Cotta Terrace is a luxury development of Mediterranean-style homes in the highly sought-after Crystal Beach area. The neighborhood has private gated beach access just across Scenic Hwy 98. Amenities include a community pool, tennis/pickleball courts, and a sand volleyball court. This ideal location is a short distance from several beachfront restaurants and a few miles from Destin Commons and Silver Sands! Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

All the excitement of Destin is just minutes away: choice of water-sports, golf, amusement parks, and outlet shopping. One glimpse of Destin beaches and you're hooked. It must be the wide, white beaches and the famous emerald waters. Not to mention the fabulous fishing, the world's most beautiful beaches, addictive seafood and the full array of activities for kids of all ages and more fun to be found in Destin.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

When we first got to the house the A/C wouldn’t turn on. I reached out to the company and they responded promptly. A tech came to the house within an hour and fixed the A/C. The company made sure to follow up with me the next day to make sure everything was ok. Overall, we can a great stay. The location was great, we could walk to the beach and it was a 10 minute drive to all the attractions.

everything went pretty well. the house was really nice and the beach was a close walk. the pool is right by the house. the kitchen had lots of dishes and utensils, some of the cooking pans were old and a little gross, but other than that everything was clean. there was a leftover unused diaper when we arrived in a drawer.

We had 14 total people including 2 infants! Accommodating for all of us! Clean, plenty of space. I had a few questions and I always got a quick response! The only things, not negative, just to be aware of- the pics show 2 bikes, there were no bikes. Also there was only 1 kitchen towel and dishcloth. Also, there is no kitchen skillet (there is a large griddle on the stove). These are not big things at all, just something to be aware of if you’re planning lots of cooking at the house. Or if you were looking forward to riding bikes. All in all would definitely recommend!

Patience needed with appliances

Perfect place for our family of 12. The kids aged 11-22 loved walking out the door to the tennis basketball and volleyball courts. Beach was a super easy walk. We enjoyed Thanksgiving week here but had to plan enough time to allow for oven to take over 30 minutes to get to 350 degrees. Dishwasher also had quirks. But so many dishes were fabulous- many large bowls. Frying pans, but no 9x 13 which surprised me. I also found it weird to purchase our own toilet paper, soap, salt and pepper, spices condiments… I also would have loved a few folding chairs but there were benches and we made it work no problem. It was exceptionally cold in FL when we arrived and home temp was 39 degrees and it took overnight to warm up but after that first night temps were fine. Fire alarm battery needed changing- and lint in dryer had to be cleaned out before use

This was my best vacation ever because of this house. The location is perfect. I counted and it was 70 steps to the pool which makes it practically in your back yard. I took four grandkids (two teens and two age 6 and 8), they loved the bedrooms. I cannot say a negative thing about the house. I hope to go every year!
