I needed a place to clear my mind since my husband died 2 months ago and this house exceeded my needs. I am actually now looking for a beach house I can purchase in the same area. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet except for Thursday evening when teenage girls showed up at the house next door with the pool and they decided to have a pool party at 1am. The house was nice and a short walk to the beach. The host was also very responsive. The only issue with staying here is the closest shopping/dining is at Pier Park. The traffic is bad, so going to eat is a 30-40 min drive each way even though it’s only 7-8 miles. However, traffic is bad everywhere in the Destin area so this isn’t uncommon, no matter where you stay. Overall, it was a great stay for the price I paid.- Posted: 6/21/2024
