The Gulf Place community is located along a 26-mile stretch of sugar-white sand and turquoise waters of Northwest Florida’s celebrated Emerald Coast. As one of the 16 distinct beach neighborhoods in South Walton, it has its own distinct character and charm. This colorful community on 30A is comprised of 25 acres located in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach on the corner of 30A and 393. Gulf Place was specifically designed to slow visitors and locals down with palm tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks, colorful outdoor patios with large umbrellas, nature walking trails, green spaces and ample park benches to sit and enjoy the views. Gulf Place is unique from all the other South Walton neighborhoods. Residents and guests gather here to enjoy original art, boutique shopping, local cuisine, live music and a laid back atmosphere.
The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

This top floor apartment in Gulf Place Cabanas has the most amazing view. The floor to ceiling glass windows leading out to the large balcony make for lots of light and spectacular Gulf views. The apartment is small but comfortable. RealJoy, the property management company, was quick to respond to any concerns I had during my 2 month stay. Great place to stay!
We loved our stay. The location is perfect, right across the street from three beach access walkways. Can see the water and the sunset from the balcony! Pool was heated, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had the basic essentials. Pecan Jack’s for ice cream was right down the block, and lots of food options were nearby. We loved it!- Posted: 1/1/2025

This condo was exactly as described. We very much enjoyed the large balcony and the short stroll to the beach access! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Location was everything! The area is walkable and not overcrowded. The beach access was perfect. Gulf Place Cabanas was fairly close to the public beach access area but its direct beach area was never overcrowded and felt really private. We drove closer to Watercolor and were very happy to be away from all the traffic of that area. All in all it was perfection.- Posted: 7/3/2024

Great Location and Convenience
We loved the property location and the size of the balcony and view were great. We were also glad its was on the top floor because we could hear some of the neighbors below us, we couldn’t imagine how bad the noise would be if we were not on the top floor. Can’t beat the location! Beach access is across the street, and the Gulf views and breeze on the balcony are amazing. Beach service is less expensive than other 30A beaches we have visited, which was a bonus. Lots of restaurants close by BUT no market or convenience store. Plan to bring provisions or order Instacart, which we ended up doing since we didn’t have a car.
The accommodations were comfortable for my family of 4, but it would be a bit cozy with anymore. There is no laundry in unit, but the laundry room on the floor was great. Always available when we needed it and free! Don’t miss out on the larger pool around the corner. My kids loved that one, and I loved the shade. Overall, we had a great stay!- Posted: 5/30/2023

I got this place as a staycation for my wife’s (we live about 15 minutes north) birthday. The place is exactly as the pictures described. It was clean, quiet, with a beautiful view. Perfect Location And View
This is our second time staying at this property. We love being in Gulf Place. Shopping, eating, and beach within a very short walk. The balcony has a great view of the water. It is so nice having 1.5 baths. The Management Company is great to work with. Love that you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We will definitely be returning.- Posted: 10/20/2022

Two concerns
The management company was extremely responsive to any of my questions or needs! I absolutely loved the location and the apartment was overall clean. My two complaints are as follows: The sliding glass door is dangerous! It is almost impossible to open the door to get out onto the beautiful balcony. We booked this condo because of the balcony. It has beautiful views but what’s the point if you can’t open the door. The handle is broken which makes it even dangerous. My second complaint is the TV in the living room. I did everything as follows with the two different remote controls but I could not figure it out. Management company came up while I was not there and rebooted it but I still could not get it to work. There was lots of good football on which we were unable to watch because of this issue. This property was great! Great location if you’re looking to wake up to a beach sunrise view. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet nice place to stay away from a lot of traffic. The hosts were very nice and communicative so we always had quick responses if we ever needed anything. Definitely would stay here again if I’m ever in the Santa Rosa/Destin area.- Posted: 8/31/2022

This 4th floor unit had an excellent view, convenient location and everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The space, layout and furniture suited our group of 3 perfectly. We also loved the different pools and easy access to the beach across the street. Less than 5 minutes from door to sand. I was worried about parking but it was never an issue. Condo is better than the pictures show! It is small but excellent use of space. Super quick walk to beach! Less than 5 minutes and we weren’t walking fast. There is no pantry or cabinet for food in kitchen. We stacked food on fridge but wasn’t easy to get to. Rent here! You won’t be disappointed!- Posted: 5/25/2022

We rented a villa for three adults. If you're wanting to book, this place is perfect for two adults and four small children. We had minor issues and they took care of the next day. The villa was clean. The view is spectacular. Right across the street from the beach. Very quiet, safe, enjoyable. Eating out is a little pricy. You can save some cash by driving into Destin to eat.
