"Thankful we were on the 3rd floor - The Pelican property was undergoing major renovations during our stay. Although there are 5 elevators on property, only 3 were working. There was generally a line of people waiting to use them. We were thankful we were on the 3rd floor and could use the stairs."

"Exemplary Customer Service - The one thing that made our stay at Pelican Beach Resort, 308, Destin, FL, was the RealJoy Vacations staff. There customer service made the week sooooo special. They helped us celebrate our 40th Anniversary with a Key Lime Pie. They fixed many problems with 308. They were sooo pleasant ALL the time. (I taught customer service in college continuing education classes and the RealJoy staff was a model of what I taught.) A BIG THANK YOU TO RealJoy Vacations staff!!!"

"Perfect location!!! - The condo was very clean and it couldn’t have been in a better location! The elevator ride was short and it only took about 1-2 minutes to get from the room to the beach! The private beach was very nice, the pools were great and we loved the tiki bar (but the drinks are a little pricey, we expected that lol). It’s an 8 minute walk to surf shops, breakfast and pizza. We also saw dolphins between 4-6 pm EVERY NIGHT! Overall the stay was great!! 100% would reccomend!"

"Good property. - The unit was just as pictured. I would go back. Only issue was with other guests in nearby units smoking on their balconies. Normally not a big deal but every time we opened our balcony door the unit would fill with cigarette or marijuana smoke. I can’t blame the owner of the unit but the facility needs to do a better job with this issue."

"Spring break stay - We had a great stay. The property is centralized for all the fun places to go and restaurants to enjoy. We had one small issue with a shower handle and the property management was very responsive and had it fixed right away. It didn’t disrupt our stay at all. Beachfront access was fantastic."

"308 - We had a amazing time here ! The condo was super clean and great. Staff on site were always friendly. King size bed was a little uncomfortable as my husband didnt sleep much. Unfinished pool was a bit of an eye sore. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and linens for the bathroom. We would definitely stay in this unit again ! Overall a great experience."

"Beautiful location! The condo was clean, the kitchen was updated, and it fit our family of four perfectly. Everything described in the listing was accurate. We had a great time being right on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed having access to food and drink service while enjoying the sunny day. Umbrella and chair rentals are available (and very reasonable), but get taken up quickly. Get there first thing in the morning if you’d like space! The pool isn’t very large. We didn’t go in on our trip since the beach weather was perfect, but it stayed pretty crowded. There was a second indoor pool that we didn’t find until our final night, and it too was smaller. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Excellent apartment and stay - The apartment is pretty good, the space is good for a 4 people family. The bedroom is a little small, but considering we used it just for sleeping, it is enough space. We were able to put the crib there for our baby as well. The resort amenities are ok, nothing upscale, but that was expected. The beach bar could offer more options and open earlier and keep open until later in the day. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and the family room has good space to have the kids playing in a rainy day and watch TV. The bunk beds in the hallway don't hurt, but it lacks some space for the kids stuff. As we spent most of the time outside, we could use the beds to keep things out of the way during the day.
The view from the balcony is spectacular. You can see the sunrise and sunset and also appreciate the sea view the whole day, nothing in front of you.
I would highly recommend this apartment!! If we are going to Destin again only with our family, I will be sure to get this one again."
