The Pelican Tiki Bar is the lively beachside bar – stop by and ask your friendly bartender to mix you a refreshing drink to take to the beach or sit by the pool. The Pelican Beach Café brews fresh coffee and is open for breakfast mornings at 8 serving yummy pastries and breakfast sandwiches. You can order lunch and take it to the pool or beach (note, this is closed November to January) You can even order a beach set up right at the private boardwalk leading to the beach. "Small Family Getaway - Came here with my wife and 2-year old and had a blast. The condo was perfect. 4th floor had a beautiful view of the beach and was very convenient to the stairs and elevator. I wish the options for beach setups were different, but that's no representation of the condo or condo owners. Overall we had a great experience."

"Enjoyable - The condo was very nice. Maybe needed a potholder and a dish rag. Wish it had washer and dryer but it was so restful sitting on the deck. We just loved sitting there. Very comfortable bed. The only bad thing about staying at this resort that you couldn’t sit by the water unless you paid money to get an umbrella and chair I just didn’t know about that we had bought a canopy to put up but no tents or anything we’re allowed. It was sad not to be by the water or sit on the beach so we won’t be back to that resort again eventhough we liked the condo. I just didn’t know resorts could own the beach and charge you to sit on it"

"We will stay here again. Everything was just easy. Property management was proactiive in sending text communications for arrival, they texted us to check in a couple times to make sure we were satisfied with everything or if we needed anything. Upon checkout we were messaged with all the little friendly check out reminders.
I feel like they truly made an effort for us to have a nice comfortable stay.
I have read some reviews on here where people complained about the front pool closing at dusk. We had an ocean front balcony and it was quieter and more enjoyable with this pool closing earlier. We appreciated it closing at dusk. There are 2 more pools on the side of the building that are open until 10 or 11 pm. The tiki hut is open until 10pm too for drinks and snacks. I believe they stopped serving hot food at 5 or 6.
We had no complaints about the onsite restaurant it was small but the food was good and they had enough options.
We stayed 7 nights and we enjoyed everyone of them!"

"Beautiful view! - We had a great time in Destin and the accommodations of the condo were fantastic! It was clean, comfortable, and the view was priceless. It was close to everything. There was construction going on which made entering and exiting a little tricky but those are necessary evils. "Really Enjoyed This Unit - We just returned from our vacation in Destin. Our stay at Unit 410 - Pelican Beach Resort was great. We reserved this unit for the view and it didn't disappoint. The unit was spotless. I do have a couple of recommendations for the property manager: some extra pillows and pillow cases would be great. There weren't enough regular pillows and the pillows in the shams didn't have pillow cases. More storage in both bathrooms is needed. And lots more places to hang towels. These were minor inconveniences and wouldn't stop us from returning."

"Perfect for a family - We loved the Pelican beach condo because of the beach view and location! It was right on the beach and they have beach chairs set up. It’s was across the street from Big Kahunas water park and close to the trac. There was a huge outlet with shopping, grocery stores near by and amazing restaurants! The ONLY problem was I let my kids pick out where we would stay after I narrowed it down, and they picked this one because of the TVs on each bunk bed. And they did not work, other than that I would stay here again :)"

"Great location, beach, and pool - The unit is exactly as listed. It was great for our family of 6. We were happy to see that they had a couple beach chairs and an umbrella and styrofoam cooler to use, as we had flown in and couldn’t bring large items. The tiki bar and cafe are right next to the pool/beach and were always nice to have to be able to grab a quick drink or bite to eat. We were surprised that the food at the cafe was actually really good. Elevators were always just a short wait, if any, which was nice because at other vacation homes we have rented the elevator wait has been an issue. I would definitely return again."

"Great location, clean, great views. - We loved it here. It was just what we wanted. Right on the beach. It was very clean. Only thing I would suggest is get better mattresses. Other than than we loved it! Will definitely be back!"

"Very nice place. I would stay again. - Property was very nice. Only had a few items that need to be addressed. Small crack in master bath mirror. Balcony chair was torn towel bar broken in master bath. Small crack in glass too in night stand. Small issues. I would stay here again. Easy beach access"

"Beautiful condo! Very close to the ocean! - We stayed six nights and it was great. We loved being on the fourth floor it was great views and easy access. The condo was beautiful the bed was comfy and the showers worked wonderful. The only complaint was that the bedroom , bathroom, and kitchen lights were hard to come on. I would have to switch on and off multiple times before it would come on. But that's nothing! There is washer and dryer by the elevator which was confident. The pool was nice but too cold. The chair service and restricted beach was a little annoying but at 4:30 it would all clear out. I love the location of the property it's in the middle of everything. Wal-mart is 3 min away. I would defintley stay again!"

"Great rate and location. - We had a great week at the Pelican Bay resort. The beach was beautiful and our room was super close to the beach which was great with two small kids! Unit 410 is nice but could use some paint touch ups and base board cleaning. The cabinets were also a little dirty. Over all it was a nice condo and we were happy. Plenty of towels we're provided. Beach toys and chairs/ umbrella were in the hall closet. They look like people had left them behind but they worked for us. The resort has a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch as well as a Tiki bar on the beach. The Tiki bar was great and a huge selling point for coming back to this resort. I recommend coming in the off season. It was still really busy. I couldn't imagine what it's like in the middle of the summer.
I recommend going to The donut holes ( get there early!), The Back Porch and the Sea Blaster Dolphin tour. Skip AJ's its expensive and not very good."

"Tidy and spacious - This condo has a very nice view and the recent remodel was very nice. The bunk was a favorite hangout for my son and his video games! The location is very handy to many restaurants, activities, and the Harbor Walk area. The only thing we would have liked to have had would be an in condo laundry instead of a common laundry room."

"Fabulous time! - This is the first time we went to Destin. We absolutely loved it. The accommodations were great. The condo was updated and furnished perfectly for our family of four. The view from the balcony was perfect. While you can walk to many things, we did rent a car. That proved to be the best investment. I can't wait to come back and stay again. "Love it! Ocean view! Right on the beach. - We really enjoyed our stay. Ocean view. We are right on the beach. Full kitchen. We stayed 5 days and not once gone out to eat. Supermarket and fresh fish market right down the road. Kids love the bunk beds. We will definitely stay here again."

"Great Views, Easy access - This was our first time in Destin and it will NOT be our last, we are hoping to make this a yearly family vacay!!! This vacation rental was nice and spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped, pots, pans, plates etc. We were even able to bake my daughter a bday cake for her bday! The refrigerator has an ice maker and that was a plus too! Wish we had known the room had beach toys in the closet, that was something we didn't have to hall from home and pack 🙂 we found them looking for a vacuum to clean up some sand we brought in from the beach. It was nice having the two restrooms, we were able to have kids showering while we were showering and that speeds up the process when you have a big family. We were so busy being that it was our first time in Destin, we made Parasailing appts and snorkeling appts so we didn't have time to use our fun passes, one Sunday night we thought lets use the fun pass and go play putt putt but it was SUNDAY night and they were closed, so we went for ice cream instead! I would highly recommend this condo and resort, for location! My only cons are, traffic, wow, we are from Houston and the traffic in Destin is BAD, but your on vacay so take your time! Beach umbrella service, if you bring your own umbrella, you need to set your alarm and go set up your space early because the condo has there service set out at like 6am and if you have kids like us, we need front row to keep an eye on our kids and umbrella service was $120 for 3 days or something? Or FREE if you bring your own, also watch for the markers, because the place next door is private and you can't put umbrellas on there property and no pop-ups, just beach umbrellas 🙂 We will be back!!!"

"Perfect place to stay! - My family of four was very pleased with our experience. It was spacious enough for us. The kids loved the bunk beds. Everything was clean upon arrival and there were plenty of supplies for us to use. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. It was a perfect location, close to restaurants and things to do for the kids. The beach was clean, a little overcrowded, but we just had to get there early. My only complaint is the bed was not very comfortable; it was too firm. We would definitely rent again!"
