Salty Dog sleeps up to six guests, with a king master bedroom on the main floor complete with a large ensuite walk-in shower, and two queen bedrooms upstairs that share a full bath and stunning balcony with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

Forest Lakes neighborhood has an idyllic setting overlooking a peaceful lake with thousands of acres of state forest bordering the community. Completely secluded and quiet, it's hard to believe Highway 30A is just down the road and offering quick access to all the amenities you could desire in this South Santa Rosa Beach location. The recently renovated community pools offer for a relaxing dip after a long day at the beach. Make memories on the fishable lake, that's catch and release, and there's also a lovely covered picnic area with grills, as well as a playground for the kiddos. Blue Mountain Beach is just to the east, and the shops, entertainment and dining venues of Gulf Place Town Center are a short drive to the west. Incredible white sand beaches are a few minutes down the road.
Area Attractions:
This is a fantastic location with Gulf Place Town Center only 1.5 miles to the West and Watercolor, Grayton Beach, Seaside, Seacrest and Rosemary Beach just minutes away to the East. Biking is a great activity to enjoy as the scenic bike path meanders along 30A. Bike over to Blue Mountain Beach Creamery for some homemade scoops that will have your taste buds coming back! You'll have an array of dining options to choose from!
30A is a fantastic destination, the beaches are some of the world’s best with sugar white sand and emerald green waters. You will find plenty of beach accesses along a 17 mile stretch of Santa Rosa Beach. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine and the incredible architecture that makes 30A famous, there are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.
The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

"The property was nice, beds and linens comfortable. This gated community was scenic and quiet. We had mostly everything we needed for cooking. Wish they’d add an insta pot or slow cooker and some more kitchen towels we had only one and only one oven mitt. We were Very close few houses walk to community pool which is very large and has a baby pool. Hours were 7am-10pm. We thought that was great! Water was warm in the evenings which we liked, since it’s in the sun all day. One day was cloudy and cooler so the pool was cooler as well. We used the grill one evening, which is also at the community pool area. Grill area was roomy and has a sink. The house doesn’t have an outside shower, however, does have a hose. The pool area has some showers and bathrooms. The beach access was not walkable with gear and tots in tow, so we drove each day. The nearest beach access has very little parking so we always went further to the next access which had more parking and showers bathrooms. We had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay. We did have a problem with the upstairs AC which was resolved the next day. They responded quickly but issue wasn’t fixed until next day. Apparently the additional remote unit must be on as well upstairs to help with the cooling. After finding out this issue we had very cold ac without issues. Everything was clean and tidy, I will say the master tile needs a little refresh. All in all we had a marvelous week and enjoyed our stay!!"

"Great location, nice neighborhood. Easy walk to the beach. We didn’t rent a golf cart initially but decided to on day 2 of our stay to make going to the beach easier (with a 2 year old and 12 year old) & then we loved being able to drive it to Seaside and other places on 30A. Two days were red flag at the beach as Hurricane Beryl made its way inland & we enjoyed the pool. The pool area was really nice! The only complaint was that the upstairs was hot.. there was a mini split and it did help but a couple of nights it’s didn’t cool until early morning hours due to high temperatures through the day. Overall a very nice stay!"

"The place was modern, clean and beautifully decorated. It was close to many restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed staying here. The neighborhood was quiet, had many amenities to offer such as the community pool, a playground and a dock. We were able to ride bikes to shops on 30A. "We loved our stay and the house was clean, spacious, and well decorated. We’ve been vacationing on 30 A for over 10 years and this is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed. The neighborhood is quaint and peaceful. Our stay was during peak vacation season but the neighborhood and pool were quiet and relaxing. It is centrally located to many great eating places. The bikes were a nice bonus but we also rented a golf cart to get to the beach and restaurants."

"Absolutely beautiful home. my family of 4 had plenty of space. the community is absolutely perfect for a family with children. it was so peaceful and welcoming. The home was decorated to perfection and so relaxing. the pool was a 1 minute walk from the front door. the sun room and porch were so relaxing also. I highly recommend this place."

"We loved the stay. The house was clean and decorated great! Beach towels would be nice for the ones like us who fly in. There was no card on the fridge, like it mentioned there would be, so we had to reach out for bike lock codes. Beautiful neighborhood!! We would definitely come back! "
