Turquoise Turtle is prominently situated on a corner just opposite the neighborhood pool. This house features a spacious open floor plan and a fully equipped kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. You will also love the gorgeous tile work throughout this house. This beautiful home sleeps 6 guests comfortably with a king bed in the master bedroom, a king bed in the second bedroom, and a guest bedroom with two twin beds. Emerald Shores is a unique, gated resort community in lovely Miramar Beach comprised of 95 stucco homes. This one of a kind neighborhood boasts its own private beach pavilion with restrooms, showers and a sunbathing deck with chairs. Neighborhood amenities include a tennis court, basketball court, two pools (one seasonally heated) and a seasonal tram to the beach.
** Seasonal Armband Policy March 12-Oct 31** Guests over the age of 12 must purchase and maintain armbands to access Beach Pavilion, pool area and beach. Armbands are $30 per home and will be valid for one week; available for purchase at Pavilion.**

This beautiful home is located near Silver Sands Factory Outlet, the nations large designer factory outlet featuring more than 100 name brand designer stores.
Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

"This is absolutely a great place to stay.. the house was nice and cozy perfect for a home away from home. The only issue I had with the interior was the bedroom with the twin beds had a lot of clutter in the closet and we had no room to put our luggage in the closet.. There was a bbq grill we was able to bbq. The beach is walking distance and shopping is not even 5 mins from the house.. We really enjoyed our stay there and will most definitely stay there again if Destin is on our vacation list again.."

"Place was great,close to the beach walking distance, about 5-7 minutes . Pool is literally across the street,takes 10 seconds to get there,a plus for the kids. Close to shops and Restaurants. Overall place was good. Only things I can suggest would be if you like to cook,there’s no cutting board,bring your some .no keurig,regular coffee maker,bring your own filters because there was none here. We’re a family that likes to cook when we rent a air bnb so place lacks a little kitchen amenities. But I would definitely come back because of convenience of location. I definitely recommend this place"

"We loved our stay at Turquoise Turtle! We will definitely stay here again. This is our second time in Emerald Shores but first time at this house. We thought we were close to the pool the first time around, this house is practically on top of the pool, lol. My kids were thrilled with the location. And a quick walk to the beach, about 7 min or so. The kitchen was fully stocked, honestly way more than our family needs, we don't cook on vacation. One thing we missed was a cutting board. This home is privately owned but managed by a management company. I wasn't sure if I would like that it wasn't personally managed, bc that's kind of the point of AIRBNB. BUT! we had 2 maintenance issues that were resolved within hours of calling them. I don't think most private owners can resolve issues that quickly. Plus I didn't feel like I was intruding when I called at 9pm on a Thurs. Their staff handled everything kindly and professionally. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels. Bring liquid hand soap if you don't like washing your hands with bar soap. I would love if there was a clothesline on that huge side porch to hang all of our suits and towels. And it would be great if there was a combo lock on the side porch door because we preferred to go in and out there with the big porch and the hose is there for after the beach. if you have young kids, take note: there are 2 showers but no tub, and both the guest rooms have doors that exit to the porch. Only the main bedroom does not have an exterior door. I had a stern talk with my kids about not leaving through those doors in the early morning when mom and dad are sleeping. The pool is right there and could tempt some kids. If my kids were younger or less trustworthy I'd put them in the main bedroom with no exterior door. Thank you for the stay!"

"Great location and great house! We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend that others know that there are no bath tubs in the house and a lot of windows without window coverings -which make the house warmer and also cause very early mornings when the sun is rising and the whole house wakes up."

"Little piece of paradise - We loved this house and couldn't have been happier with the location and all the amenities. Our stay was for 7 days, we had 7 people in the home, and other family members eat dinner with us. The house comfortably fed 19 people with lots of seating, large open kitchen, and large dining table.
The only issues we had were these: couldn't get the tv to work in the living room (which we ended up figuring out ourselves by hooking up our laptop to the tv) and couldn't get the coffee maker to work. All of these little and inconveniences but could be fixed by adding instruction sheets by the appliances.
But regardless of these little things we would stay here again in a heartbeat!!"
