Chateau La Mer Condominiums is a low-density two-story complex across the street from the beach between Miramar and Destin. Vacation rentals at this complex feature a pool, tennis & pickleball courts, outdoor grills, lawn area, clubhouse, and private access to the beach. It's located along a walking/bike trail. You can walk a short 150 yards to Captain Dave's on the Gulf and the gorgeous beaches across from Chateau La Mer. It's a gem among vacation rentals.

Convenient to the Silver Sands Outlets for shopping, and the fabulous Grand Boulevard Town Center with restaurants, art, movie theater, and upscale shopping, plus the adventurous activities for kids at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. This location is loaded with enough activities to please your group!
Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate-themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters, and Bass Pro Shop.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

"The place was beautiful and had plenty of items to use at the beach; chairs, toys, etc.. Not to far from the beach, but I thought it was going to be ocean view. I had a couple small issues but they were dealt with almost immediately! I would rent from them again."

"Great location for a family getaway. Much closer to the beach than a lot of the other condos and there was complimentary beach chair service. Plenty of beach gear available for our use at the Airbnb as well. Everything was well thought out in the space and perfect for beach goers. Stores and restaurants are only a 10 minute drive away. Highly recommend!"

"Just as described. Pleasant basic and comfortable. Close to the beach. Quick 3 min walk through the entrance and across the street. Close enough to walk back for lunch or a nap during the day or to catch the sunset before or after dinner. Sunset beach services inc. had 2 chairs and umbrella for rent $50/day and $11/hour. Convenient and reasonable. Also kayaks available. I personally felt the beach area was crowded but if you get there pretty early you can get a great spot, 1st row seat to the ocean 😁. Some beach items available even though not listed. A few chairs, small umbrella and wave boards etc. The Airbnb had everything we needed, but if I came again I’d bring coffee, filters, couple toilet paper rolls, soap, a few dishwasher pods and laundry pods. But depends on how long you’re staying. Easy enough. Some stuff is provided. No smart tv’s but cable with lots of channel options. This mom with 4 daughters (14-22yo) had a wonderful stay."
