"Charming 2 story Beach House - This was a family vacation and the house was perfect for us! It was wonderful having our own pool and only a 2 block walk to the beach. Many stores and restaurants nearby. The house was beautifully decorated with the beach theme. Plenty of outdoor seating around and by the pool. The house was very clean, no bugs and everything worked. We played games and cards around the big dining room table. We did not have any issues at all. The beds were the most comfortable than any other place we have rented through the years. We would definitely rent this property again!"

"This was a family vacation and we had an excellent time! Sugar Beach Cottage was perfect. It was clean, bug free and beautifully decorated throughout with the beach theme. The pool was perfect and only a two block walk to the beach. There are pool toys there and some beach chairs. All of the beds were very comfortable. Best I have slept on than any other rental we have had. Everyone in our party stated the same. The bathrooms are all updated and the shower in the master bedroom was wonderful. The big dining room table was perfect for playing games and cards. Plenty of outdoor furniture and the screened in porch was really nice. We would definitely rent this property again! Realjoy Realty was so easy to work with and checked on us after we arrived via text to make sure everything was ok. We never had any issues or problems during our stay. Prior to our stay, Realjoy personnel responded immediately to any questions we had and they provided a lot of information about the area. We would definitely rent through them again! "Nice Beach House - We had a wonderful time here and really enjoyed the location. My only complaint is I wish they left more than 1 laundry pod/packet and more than 2 dishwashing tabs. We also couldn’t find any extra trash bags, toilet paper or paper towels and had to buy our own extras."

"Sugar Beach Cottage was the PERFECT home for our family vacation! Close to everything, the home was beautiful and the pool was loved by the kids ( and adults). It has everything you need. The Real Joy staff is phenomenal and made sure everything was great for our stay; they even checked in to see if we needed anything. You don’t get that elsewhere! "Great location in Destin - The property definitely was a cute little house that was perfect for our girls trip! You are a short walk from a small section of beach that you can lay out on (just nuzzled in between two private beach area so it’s a little snug). Beds were comfy and the kitchen area was good to hangout.
Only complaint really was the alarm for the doors outside that aren’t supposed to be turned off. They were SO obnoxiously loud. I do wish the pool was heated at our time of year too.
Overall would definitely recommend the house!"

It was spacious, clean, cozy and was in a quiet location but close to everything we needed and wanted to see or do! It was just right up the block from the beach and walking distance to several little places to see. The only thing that could make this place better would be a little gas firepit on the patio or a hot tub."

"Great place to stay. It’s an easy 5 min walk to the beach with children on a sidewalk. The inside of the house is very cute with nice details and a nicely stocked kitchen. The pool was great! We did notice some pool tiles which were peeled off and placed next to the pool but, nothing major. Overall, as a family of four, we had a great experience."

"Beautiful House In A Prime Location - This house is so beautiful and just feels like home. It is very open, clean, updated, and exquisitely decorated in the beach vibe fashion. My wife, five year old son, and myself absolutely loved our stay here and will be repeat renters of this property. The house is in a great location, it is quiet, and the walk to the beach is super easy. My biggest gripe was that the wifi network that was posted in the house never appeared on any of our devices and we never were able to connect, but we spent most of our time at the beach anyways. Additionally, the Roku TVs are nice (strangely those did connect to the wifi, but on a different network name), but the live TV stations offered are pretty lame, especially if you are looking for sports. My third and final "gripe" is that the kitchen is very randomly equipped. I will probably bring my own cookware next time.
All in all this was one of the best beach houses I've stayed at in the Destin area and I can't wait to go back. I also love the guest book that the owners left in the dining room. That is such a unique and lovely idea."

"Lovely beach house - Lovely house, and it is a short walk to two public beach accesses. The one at the end of the street has a tiny public space. It’s worth the extra couple of blocks for more beach space. The wagon was great to take our stuff to the beach. We loved the screened porch, and the balconies were great for morning coffee. The house was perfect for our family of 7. The downside of the house is the front load washer is moldy, and three of the four pool lounge chairs were broken."

"Great Vacation! - Sugar Beach Cottage was beautiful and clean. We had a great time and loved having the private pool! The beach was great and the walk there was easy with a wagon. We had a great vacation and would absolutely stay here again. There were only two very minor things that were less than ideal. The washing machine is starting to get a mildew smell to it and the patio furniture is getting a little worn. Neither of these things were a big deal to us, but might be something to keep in mind. Overall, a wonderful experience here!"

During the peak travel season, the nearby public access beach is a short walk but quite small, so you’re better served renting a private umbrella and chairs if you have a large group. "Adorable Beach House - We loved Sugar Beach Cottage. The house was beautiful. The master bedroom and bathroom were gorgeous. The house was clean and everything we needed was provided. Clean linens were folded on the couch for the sleeper sofa. There were plenty of pillows in the closets. We really enjoyed or stay. The pool was also perfect. There were double red flags our whole stay, so the pool really saved us. Also plenty of outdoor seating and umbrellas at the pool."

"Beautiful house and beach! - This was our first trip to Destin and the house nor beach disappointed. The house is a short walk to beach & they have a beach wagon to assist you with your things. The pool was great to come back to after being on the beach. The house itself fit all of our needs and was very spacious. The only complaint was not knowing there is limited public space at the beach access at end of road. There are other areas but for convenience we stayed at one at end of rd. Plan to get there early if you want a close spot to the water. Overall we had an amazing time! We also visited crab island and rented boats- highly recommend that as well."

"Perfect vacation - everything about this property was perfect! The house has so much charm! The pool area is private and very nice. We really loved the screened in porch with our 18 month old. The walk to the beach is short. If you have little ones I do recommend a wagon to put them in to get to the beach. I also recommend getting to the beach early, around 630am, to set up your tent because the public access beach area is pretty small. Overall we had a wonderful stay! We would definitely recommend this house to others and love to come back!"
