1. Visit The Boardwalk

One of the most popular things to do in Okaloosa Island is visit The Boardwalk, which is a great for both friends and families! Spend the afternoon doing some beachfront shopping before dining on a delicious meal and taking in views of the Emerald Coast. There is even a splash pad behind Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar, so while the parents sip a drink, the kids can have fun in the water! If you visit The Boardwalk any time between Memorial Day and Labor Day, you’ll get to see an incredible fireworks show that is held every Wednesday at 9 p.m. Some fun in the sun, souvenir shopping, a seafood dinner and a fireworks show is the perfect recipe for an amazing day in Okaloosa Island!

 

2. Spend Time on the Beach

Okaloosa Island is famous for pristine sands and waters. You’ll love relaxing on the beach in the sweet sunshine as you admire the beauty of the Gulf. 3. Go Fishing at the Okaloosa Island Pier

The pier stretches almost a quarter of a mile and offers great opportunities to catch some of the largest fish in the Gulf! Possible large fish you could catch are tarpon weighing more than 100 pounds, tuna and mackerel. There is even a tackle shop located right on the pier with artificial and natural baits that provide the best results off the pier. You can also grab an ice cold drink, some snacks and even ice cream for when you take a break from fishing. Don’t feel like fishing? Don’t worry! You can still enjoy the pier and watch. You might even see some dolphins!

 

4. Explore Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone

Wild Willy’s is Northwest Florida’s largest family entertainment center!  It features a state of the art Redemption arcade, a 4D Movie Theaterr, Urban Assault laser tag, Salvati’s Pizza factory and YogoMogo’s Creamy Cool Creations indoors.  Outdoors you’ll find a 60 foot ropes course, a bungee trampolee, a bumper boat pool, mini go karts falcons, a new 110 ft slide and two Animatronic 18 hole mini golf courses!
